This stately Buffalo home once belonged to the homeowner’s great grandparents. It had almost no cabinetry except what was in a tiny butler’s pantry area just off the kitchen. Appliance placement was problematic. The wall to the pantry was opened up and a small bar sink, beverage fridge and microwave drawer added. A small breakfast bar is the perfect spot for morning coffee. Glass door cabinets are reminiscent of the original cabinetry, and the corner cabinet is in fact original—a sentimental and unique piece that keeps the memory of his great grandparents ever present.
An apron sink and antique light fixtures add classic detail to the antique white painted cabinetry which is stacked to the ceiling. A TV is built-in above the fridge and a dramatic tile installation around the stainless hood add a note of contemporary style.
